The passage that impacted to me the most in Erling Kagge in the Age of Noise was the section where Kagge explains how he uses music to block out other noises which helps him find solitude within himself. Kagge writes, there is so much noise that I turn up the music I listening to, not to create more of a disturbance, but in order to shut out other sounds. This quotation directly relates to the school theme of solitude because solitude is about finding the time for growth amidst a time where there are distractions everywhere.
